Once considered as a pariah state to the rest of the world, tourists are coming back thick and fast since the government reforms in 2010 andthe election of Noble Prize winner Aung San Suu Kyi to parliament where she mentioned that a safe tourism would be welcomed back into Myanmar.

Myanmar, aka "Burma" is one of the most mysterious and undiscovered destinations where 21st-century world has barely intruded. All the cream of Asian traditional delights is scooped into this fascinating nation with a population of sixty millions. From snow-capped mountains, thick forests and pristine beaches, Myanmar is home to more than 100 different ethnic groups, one of the most diverse in South East Asia. Spectacular monuments and heritage sites such the wonder of Bagan’s plain of a thousand temples, the leg-rowing fishermen of Inle Lake, and the glittering gold stupa of Yangon’s Shwedagon Pagoda, would attest to a rich and glorious history stretching more than two thousand years. In Myanmar there is always a sense of peace and tranquility where following the precepts of Buddhism is still a way of life. So there is little wonder why it boasts one of the lowest tourist crime records in the world.
