Andaw Thein Temple
is a temple in Mrauk U located at the northwest corner of the Shite-thaung Temple. The name means 'Tooth Shrine'. It contains a tooth relic of the Buddha coming from Sri Lanka. It was first built as an ordination hall between 1515 and 1521 by King Thazata, and restored by Min Bin between 1534 and 1542. It was later expanded into a temple by King Raza II in order to house a tooth relic of the Buddha he brought back from his pilgrimage to Ceylon, either in 1596 or 1606–1607.

Dukkanthein Pagoda
Dukkanthein, also called Htukanthein or Htoekanthein, stands on a hill which is about 30ft (9m) in height. Its structure is like a flat surface in the form of a drum. King Minphalaung built this pagoda in 1571 AD.

Koe Thaung Temple
is the largest temple in Mrauk U, Myanmar. The name means "Temple of 90,000 Buddha Images". The temple was built between 1554 and 1556 by King Dikkha.

Koethaung Pagoda
Koethaung means 90,000 and significantly named for the number of Buddha Image. To the north of the Pisei Hill at a distance of 400 yards is the Koethaung Pagoda. The King Mintaikkha who was the son of the King Minbin, the donor of the great Shitthaung Pagoda, built this Pagoda in AD 1553.

Latsaykan Gate
Latsaykan Gate was built of sandstone with the use of keystone archway construction technique. Sandstones were carved into the required shapes and cemented. Among the many gates in Mrauk U, only Minthamee, Shinphyudaw, Kyakhet, Latsaykan and Mauktaw gates remain in good condition.

Laymyethnar Pagoda
About a distance of 150ft (46m) to the northwest of the Dukkhanthein Pagoda is the Laymyethnar Pagoda or “the Four-faced pagoda”. King Minsawmon, the first king of Mrauk-U Dynasty, built it in 1430 AD.

Mahakuthala Kyaung Daw Gyi Buddhist Museum
This museum was opened in 1996 with the articles of the ancient cultural heritage collected by Reverend Pandita, the presiding monk or abbot of Maha Kuthala Monastery in Sittwe. It is a unique museum which has a mix of colonial era and Buddhist artifacts. The museum is in a colonial mansion that is itself well worth a visit.

Mangala Man Aung (Mungalamanaung) Pagoda
Mungalamanaung Pagoda is known to be one of the five most revered “Mann” paya of Mrauk U. It is a solid conical pagoda situated in north of the Mungala Gate built by King Oggabala in 1685.

Mrauk U
Mrauk U is the famous capital city of Rakhine and its civilization flourished from 1430 to 1785. Mrauk U, an archaeologically important town lies roughly 11 km east of the Kaladan River on the banks of its minor tributaries. The town is located on a small outcrop of the Rakhine Yoma on the eastern side of the Kaladan's alluvial plain. Thus, the surrounding countryside is hilly yet also contains a great deal of marshes, mangroves and lakes.

The old steel clock tower is located in Sittwe, the capital city of Rakhine State, erected by the Dutch in the 18th Century.

Phaya Ouk Temple
This temple stands to the east of Lower Nibbuza. Only the plinth of the temple is left now. 12ft 5ins (about 4m) high stone image is kept in the perfumed chamber. It was built by King Min Phalaung in 1571.

Pitakataik (Khraung Kaik)
Pitakataik which lies north of Htupayon Pagoda and south of Shinkite wall, was built by King Min Phalaung. It was square in plan with an entrance passage to the east like others pagoda in Mrauk U. Built entirely with stone, the outer walls are decorated with ornate floral and geometric design.

Ratana-pon
is a solid stupa in Mrauk U, Rakhine State, Western Myanmar. The pagoda is located at the northwest corner of the Shite-thaung Temple. The name means 'Pile of Jewels'. According to local legends, it is said to have jewels and images enshrined in the central stupa but none have ever been found. It was built in 1612 by King Min Khammoung and his wife.

Sakkyar Man Aung Pagoda is located on the east side of Mrauk U. This pagoda is known to be one of the five most revered “Mann” paya of Mrauk U. King Sri Suddhamma Raja built the Sakkyar Man Aung Pagoda in AD 1629. It is located in the south of Yadanar Man Aung Pagoda.

Thandwe
It is a town and major seaport in Rakhine State, the westernmost part of Myanmar. Thandwe is very ancient, and is said to have been at one time the capital of Rakhine State, then called Arakan. The district has an area of 3,784 square miles (9,800 km2). The country is mountainous, the Arakan Mountains sending out spurs which reach the coast. Some of the peaks in the north attain 4,000 and more ft. The streams are only mountain torrents to within a few miles of the coast; the mouth of the Khwa forms a good anchorage for vessels of from 9 to 10 ft (3.0 m). draught. The rocks in the Arakan Range and its spurs are metamorphic, and comprise clay, slates, ironstone and indurated sandstone; towards the south, ironstone, trap and rocks of basaltic character are common; veins of steatite and white fibrous quartz are also found. The rainfall in 1905 was 23-49 in. Except a few acres of tobacco, all the cultivation is rice.
