Dannyin Gone Golf Club in Yangon was founded in 1909. It is the second oldest golf club in Myanmar with 7063 Yards, 18-hole golf course, designed by the British. It is affiliated with Malaysian Country Club.

Hlawgar Park

Approximately 22 miles (35km) north of Yangon, just west of Yangon-Pyay Road, this park was established to protect indigenous wildlife species in natural environment. Elephant riding, trekking on jungle trails, boating on the lake are attractions of the park. The lake in the park is a stopover for migratory water birds.

Kandawgyi Lake is a major attraction in Yangoners. People frequent this place to escape the madness of the city. The nearby Shwedagon Pagoda can be seen from the grounds of Kandawgi Park.
